Quality Assurance Supervisor

Job DescriptionOur client, a leading beverage company, is currently seeking an accomplished Quality Assurance Supervisor to join the team. Here is an overview of the role:1) Be responsible for the supervision of assigned QC Inspectors2) Assist in formulating and maintaining quality control objectives for the manufacturing3) Review and implement methods and procedures for monitoring work activities to include weight control, moisture, decaffeination analysis, sanitation and food safety4) Ensure the company is following all food safety rules, guidelines and laws as mandated by the federal government and customer-specific requirements5) Drive FSMA and FSVP regulations to ensure compliance6) Monitor, record and validate all food safety checks, including HACCP, CPs, sanitation verification and all other quality and food safety programs7) Execute or coordinate outside third-party microbiology tests on environment samples and water sources in accordance with QA requirements8) Train production employees in functions, specific to quality control tasks, standards, and responsibilities9) Enforce and ensure all areas are clean and well organized with proper reports to management of GMP violations, inspecting facility on a daily basis10) Ensure equipment SOP, calibration, and verification efforts are effectively implemented and executed11) Audit procedures, programs, and verifications, post and pre-production, implementing necessary corrective actions, when needed12) Serve as designated SQF Practitioner13) Assist with the Marketing and Sales Team requests for blend analysis and sampling14) Drive and support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma programs15) Conduct internal audits to monitor the quality of product and work with managers to develop corrective action steps to correct deviation16) Assist food safety and quality awareness training17) Collect and compile relevant quality statistical data is also part of the quality supervisor description18) Conduct and monitor the analysis and inspection of raw materials and final products to ensure compliance with set specifications19) Perform other duties as assignedCritical Requirements1) A university degree is required.
