Clinical Custodian

Avets, a 24-hour emergency & specialty veterinary hospital located in Monroeville, is looking for a full-time Clinical CustodianThe work schedule is somewhat flexible but will need to consist of 5 eight-hour shifts/week between the times of 8a-8p, to include one weekend shift per week. We're looking for a reliable and experienced individual that can help us keep our veterinary clinic clean and organized. The successful candidate will ideally have knowledge of sanitation methods regularly used in a medical setting. Custodians will be trained in the proper use of all custodial equipment, as well as our safety guidelines. They are to ensure all areas of the hospital remain clean, disinfected, and orderly throughout each shift, using cleaning check lists as a guide and add cleaning tasks as the need presents. They will also be hard working, have the ability to follow through on assigned projects, and be able to work collaboratively with other staff members.In this position, you must be able to stand, bend and/or kneel for the duration of a shift (8 hours) and lift up to 25lbs.Responsibilities:Clean and maintain floors, carpets, and furniture. Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces daily. Clean and polish windows and mirrors. Empty trash receptacles, recycle bins, and ashtrays and dispose of waste daily. Disinfect and sterilize restrooms and other areas such as exam rooms and treatment areas as requested. Setting up and breaking down furniture as needed. Ensure all cleaning materials and tools are stored securely and properly. Complete deep cleaning projects as assigned by the Emergency Manager.
