For this specific position, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radio Systems Engineer to oversee the design and implementation of Motorola system solutions, with a particular focus on UHF/VHF solutions and trunk radio systems for a new facility being built in south Texas. As a Radio Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful deployment of communication systems, meeting project objectives, and adhering to industry standards.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* *Motorola System Design:* Lead the design phase of Motorola communication systems, including UHF/VHF solutions and trunk radio systems, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of each project.
* *Vendor Supervision:* Act as the primary point of contact for Motorola vendors, providing guidance and oversight throughout the design and implementation process. Ensure vendors adhere to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* *Project Management:* Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables. Ensure effective communication and collaboration to achieve project goals.
* *Technical Expertise:* Possess a deep understanding of Motorola communication technologies, including system architecture, RF design principles, and trunking protocols. Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support as needed.
* *Documentation and Reporting:* Maintain accurate documentation of system designs, configurations, and implementation plans. Generate regular progress reports and updates for stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and project status.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in radio systems design and implementation, with a focus on Motorola technologies.
* Proficiency in Motorola system design tools and software (e.g., CPS, ASTRO 25).
* Strong understanding of UHF/VHF communication principles and trunking protocols.
* Proven experience in vendor management and supervision.
* Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interface with stakeholders at all levels.
* Certifications such as Motorola Certified Service Center (MCSC) or Motorola Certified System Specialist (MCSS) are desirable.
