FPGA Engineer

Responsibilities:

+ Responsible for the design, test, and integration of complex, high speed FPGAs (mostly Xilinx)

+ Develop architectures compatible with embedded Linux environments.

+ Design and support top-level system simulations.

+ Fully document design details and hold a design review prior to implementation

+ Work in a fast-paced development team, working closely with hardware and software engineers during test and integration

+ Translate system requirements into FPGA architectures.

+ Develop FPGA designs using HDL (VHDL, System Verilog, etc.).

+ Support systems integration and Test Engineering to produce functional designs.

+ Implement and contribute to the architecture of current and next generation multi-megapixel camera systems, interfacing with the Camera Link and SpaceWire standards.

+ Design systems capable of handling Imager data and Image processing (Embedded Camera Development).

+ Create and document test plans to assure integrated performance meets specification.

**MUST-HAVE** Skills and Qualifications:

+ VHDL

+ Hands on experience with full FPGA lifecycle (you are doing the design and verification, etc.)

Additional Desired Skills & Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

+ 4 or more years of experience in design, test, and integration of complex, high speed FPGAs

+ Experience with lab equipment

+ Ability to read, understand, and review schematic drawings

+ Experience with technical documentation

+ Ability to multitask and handle a dynamic work environment
