About the Position:
Serves as the Acquisition Workforce Specialist and advisor to the Workforce Development Branch Chief. Provides expert advice on professional education, training, development, assignments, and certification within the Army Contracting Command Civilian Force Structure. Responsibilities include:
Developing contracting training programs to ensure training requirements are met.
Partnering with internal and external training contacts to forecast acquisition workforce trends/issues.
Communicating training paths with employees.
Updating material to ensure the latest information is represented.
Maintaining training for personnel.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes:
Providing recommendations on contracting approaches for acquisition systems.
Conducting employee training.
Assisting with identifying training objectives.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education cannot be substituted for experience.

Time in Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Additional Information

This is a(n) Acquisition and Contracting Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. May require overtime work.
