BRIEF DESCRIPTIONThe purpose of this position is to assist and facilitate the budget process for the Brazos River Authority (BRA) and to track budget performance during the year. This is accomplished by assisting with budget preparation, creating and monitoring the annual operating plan; preparing and reviewing monthly budget reports, researching budget variances; assisting with the preparation of quarterly budget reports to the Board of Directors, coordinating invoices with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and presenting budget information to outside customers. In addition, this position also preserves and verifies the accuracy of financial transactions by assisting in general ledger maintenance, performing timely financial system closes, assisting various departments within F&A and performing other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS- Minimum three years of progressive experience in accounting or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education

$21.01 to $26.78 per hour. This is a non-exempt position.
