Description:

Emory Healthcare Food Services and Dietetics is seeking experienced Clinical Dietitians for our various locations with varying shift options. The highly desired candidate will have one or more years experience in an acute care setting as a clinical dietitian; registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and licensed in the state of Georgia.

The primary responsibilities of the Clinical Dietitian is to assure continuity of care through effective decision making resulting in quality patient care; regularly conducts physical assessment on patients; annually reviews and updates protocols/patient care guidelines for area of specialization. Coordination with Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) and members of the multidisciplinary team to provide efficient, quality patient care; participates in Quality Improvement activities on clinical units to improve patient satisfaction scores; educate FNS Staff by conducting one or more education activities per year.

In addition, will serve on FNS committee and/or EHC committees; participates in performance evaluation of co-workers; provides guidance and training to staff and dietetic interns on completing physical assessment; develops presentation and/or education materials for staff, hospital and/or community related function or health fair.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics.
  • One or more years experience in acute care setting as a clinical dietitian.
  • Registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
  • Licensed as a Dietitian in the State of Georgia.
  • Must maintain competency in adult and geriatric nutrition.
  • Competent in basic computer skills, including diet management software.
