We are partnering with a global technology leader in the design and manufacturing of premium light, medium and heavy-duty trucks and they are looking for a Commodity Manager to join their team in either Bellevue, WA or Lewisville, TX

Position Highlights
Title: Commodity Manager
Location: Bellevue, WA or Lewisville, TX
Direct hire, full time
Background Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of purchasing, supply chain, or materials experience.
Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
Possess a strong understanding of fundamental contract terms and be able to draft supply contracts.
Experience with sourcing to support new product development. Ability to successfully manage supplier through all phases of a product development program.
Job Responsibilities
Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies resulting in improved supply chain performance and enhanced product quality.
Investigate, evaluate, and implement new technologies, strategic procurement strategies, and logistical opportunities.
Negotiate and ensure supplier compliance to long-term supply and warranty agreements.
Issue formal Requests for Information, Proposals and Quotes (RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs) and analyze responses to select suppliers that meet or exceed company requirements.
Collaborate with company operations worldwide to successfully develop and execute global supply chain and commodity strategies.
Communicate and conduct meetings and formal presentations with suppliers, plant, and division personnel at all management levels.
Travel to supplier locations to evaluate capabilities, capacity, assess production readiness, investigate new opportunities, improve manufacturing efficiencies and resolve chronic supply and quality issues.
Travel to company operating locations in support of the above activities
