DEPARTMENT: Special Education
REPORTS TO: Director of Special Services
PAY SCHEDULE: As per REA Collective Bargaining Agreement and experience
EFFECTIVE: 2024-2025 School Year
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an American Therapy Association (AOTA) or the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) certified school.
- Registered Occupational Therapist - State of Michigan
- Michigan Driver's License
- Pediatric experience preferred
- Must have good organizational skills
- Must have good written and oral language ability
- Good interpersonal skills with children and adults
- Interpret physician orders related to professional area of responsibility.
- Assess fine motor skills of students.
- Develop, implement, monitor and modify treatment plans based on physician orders and assessment of student as appropriate.
- Complete IEP, MET, Medicaid and treatment forms/reports.
- Maintain treatment/progress notes and Medicaid documentation per professional standards.
- Train Paraprofessionals on various student plans.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
