Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: Bear Lake, MI 49614
Duration: 3+ months with full possibility of extension
Shift: Monday-Friday 8 am – 5 pm - 1st Shift
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Preferred: Medical Assistant or Paramedic training
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
Job Responsibilities:
- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures.
- Maintain direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures.
- Ensure accurate verification of patient demographic information and labeling of samples.
- Maintain required records and documentation, demonstrating organizational commitment.
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties.
- Uphold a safe and professional environment under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors and focus on process excellence and confidentiality.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to deliver quality, errorfree work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible and able to work based on staffing needs, including potential travel to various locations
- Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment
- Superior customer focus and ability to communicate openly and transparently with patients and team members
