JOB SUMMARY

The Training Coordinator plays an integral role in developing operators skills and knowledge to understand the ethanol process and gain a higher level of qualification. The trainer will develop employees through coaching, education, mentoring, and shared knowledge of experience, act and live as a role model for operations, assist as needed scheduling daily work and maintain open communications with shift supervisors, production manager, lab, maintenance, and all other plant departments/personnel. The trainer coordinator should always search out new knowledge and resources to better themselves and the operators they are training.
SALARY

$65K-$85K - Commensurate with experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

Train all operators on their roles and responsibilities for each position in operations.
Administer and improve training program. Consider peer to peer training, table top exercise facilitation, what-if scenarios.
Onboarding new operators - ensure they are set up for success. Direct influence on the first few weeks of onboarding. Potentially providing basic equipment/plant training.
Lead a group of trainees through the course curriculum, including classroom, field, and hands on training.
Lead a group of trainees through execution of plant operating procedures, coach and guide trainees as mistakes are made. Administer written, oral, and hands on exams.
Continuous improvement of the plant operator progression plan, including actively seeking out improved methods of conducting training, and training tools.
Lead transformation efforts. Train on APC and new processes and equipment.
Assist operators with new equipment startup
Ensure all personnel involved in the operating process understand and have been trained on all SOPs and PMs. They should also be trained on changes to SOPs to perform their jobs safely and correctly.
Provide ongoing training for new SOPs and changes to old SOPs
Identify SOPs that need revision before their use in the plant.
Identify SOPs not yet created.
Promote and incorporate TPR into the way we do business and our everyday lives.
Assess plant/equipment risk, operations input to maintenance
backlog/impairment/PBIs (MAPCON).
Assist with the development and update of plant operating procedures.
Continuous improvement of the plant operator progression plan, including actively seekingout improved methods of conducting training, and training tools.
QUALIFICATIONS

Prior training and/or supervisory experience
3-5 years work experience in an ethanol plant
Strong knowledge of Plant Operator functions
High degree of integrity
Positive attitude
Accountability
A high school diploma / GE
Proficient in Microsoft, Word and Excel
