**Buyer Planner (m/f/d)** * Bessemer City, NC * Full-Time * Buyer Planner (m/f/d) **Position Summary and Purpose:** Tosaf Inc is looking for a successful Buyer/Planner to join the team. The Buyer/Planner has the primary responsibility of ensuring material availability to support production, lab and maintenance schedules. Other responsibilities for the Buyer/Planner include managing inventory levels, supporting new materials sourcing, interacting/coordinating with suppliers on a variety of topics ensuring compliance and supporting other business functions as required. **Job Responsibilities:** *

Create, analyze and manage MRP reports and parameters. *

Issue purchase orders to suppliers based on MRP results and/or requests from Sales, Production, Maintenance, Lab, Office. *

Monitor status of open purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery of all materials, including timely resolution, communication and mitigation of future potential problems. *

Expedite or defer orders as required based on schedule/inventory changes. Work closely with logistics coordinator to ensure best and cost-efficient delivery service for materials. *

Manage and resolve issues regarding PO to invoice discrepancies, returns and quality problems with suppliers. *

Monitor and update raw material costs. Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers. *

Determine and establish optimal inventory levels based on forecast, demand variation, material lead times. Support the technical team with existing inventory optimization. *

Assist with setting up and validating new vendors. *

Participate in special projects and other assignments as needed. **Education and Key Attributes:** *

Associates degree, in a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing. *

Excellent organization, communication and follow-up skills *

Solid Microsoft Office Skills (Excel, Outlook), ERP system experience *

Demonstrate understanding of MRP and material planning concepts. *

Ability to work well with international teams. *

Strong sense of urgency and great attention to details *

Analytical with a methodical approach to problem solving
