**BluePearl Pet Hospital** **is seeking an organized and goal-driven Financial Coordinator to join our team in Tacoma, WA.**

_*Veterinary experience is preferred._ _Med Clerk require or must obtain within first 90 days._

As the Financial Coordinator, you will have primary responsibility for charge capture and other billing-related activities across the hospital.??You will ensure that all charges are captured in an appropriate manner by auditing records for accuracy and verifying that charges align with the patients treatment record(s). You will work with hospital leadership to rectify recurring charge-capture issues and educate other associates regarding charge-capture protocols.???The role may also have primary responsibility for coordinating and maintaining payment plans, providing clients with billing updates, and collection of accounts receivable.?The role will also have responsibilities with overseeing purchasing.

**Financial Coordinator Pay:** $24.30 - $32.25 / hour

**This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience.**

We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.

*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.

For example:

+ Mon Fri: 6pm to 8am = $4.00 Shift Differential

+ Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.50 Shift Differential

+ Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $4.00 Shift Differential

**As a Financial Coordinator:**

+ You audit patient records/charts with invoices to ensure charge accuracy.

+ Verify charges on open invoices of hospitalized patients andmakecorrectionsas necessary.

+ You review bloodwork and radiographs to ensure appropriate capture of charges.

+ You may provide clients with billing updates.

+ You educate other hospital associates regarding charge entry protocols.?

+ You may process associate billing.

+ You may handle collection of accounts receivable including maintenance of payment plans.

+ You serve as liaison to credit providers, collection agencies and donation/rescue organizations.?

+ You will also have responsibilities in overseeing purchasing.

Our Continuing Education Plan includes $500/year reimbursement for CVT and $750/year for VTS. The Continuing Education allowance can roll over up to $1,500 for CVT and VTS associates. Non-Credentialed, full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150. Full-time CVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year. Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year. Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours. Newly hired associates will receive a pro-rated amount of any CE benefit for which they are eligible.
