Physician / Hospitalist / West Plains, MO / Permanent Job Overview: Physician / Hospitalist position in Central MO with a starting salary of $285,000. Job Details: Qualifications: MD/DO in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, BC/BE Facility: General Medical/Surgical Hospital, 145 bed hospital with over 30 specialties available Schedule: Take home back up call to the APP who is in-house from 8pm-8am. The APP handles all night admissions and cross-coverage calls but may call the physician if there is a question or unstable patient. Program: Currently includes 1 physician and 1 APP per day with a total cap of 25 patients/day (up to 15 patients/physician and 10 patients/APP). The program is currently expanding with plans to hire 4 more physicians by the end of 2019. Assignment: Average census of 15-16 patients/day, split between physician and APP, with an average of 8 total admissions per 24 hours. ICU: Open ICU, with pulmonology availability.
