We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and QualificationsThe Outreach Specialist provides outpatient phlebotomy, registration, research, billing and body fluid specimen processing for hospital and non-hospital facilities.Job Requirements:Follow the laboratory’s procedure for specimen receiving, processing specimens and registration.Observe and abide by established safety practices and directives.Show adaptability through travel / support / phlebotomy / registration coverage ofallsatellite locations.Properly answer incoming phone calls, providing information as requested in a professional andappropriate manner.Participate in hospital initiatives, department goals and employee engagement activities.Participate in team meetings and attends other meetings.Recommend new improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.Take responsibility to keep informed of pertinent information. Distributes information to teamwhen acknowledging reference lab specimen collection changesFill Outreach supply orders, managing orders and report cost for yearly reports.Assist with new hire orientation, training, special events/projects, and employee relations.Travel to remote draw stations for coverage of sick/PTO to perform registration/phlebotomyResearch requested testing for physicians providing testing and processing/shipping information.What qualifications you will need:High school diploma or equivalent.Demonstrated education, training, experience and skills in specimen collection techniquesDisplays interpersonal skills, interacts with co-workers, staff, patients, patient’s families, physicians and vendorsCapable of multi-tasking many different issues at one time with the overall task being completedGood computer skillsDemonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills.TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a 740+ bed comprehensive facility.
