Responsibilities

•Prevent injuries, slowdowns, and project risks by demanding complete adherence to health and safety standards on construction sites, and reporting safety regulation issues promptly
•Negotiate profitable agreements with external vendors, contractors, and critical subcontractors
•Implement systems to organize tools, vehicles, and equipment, and schedule maintenance for them if necessary
•Collaborate with clients, engineers, construction managers, and architects to determine the needed resources and scope of work, including necessary materials and expected labor required
•Forecast monetary needs for the project and accurately manage the budget
•Communicate the status of the building project to key stakeholders by providing regular progress reports
•Plan and schedule the entire construction project, including construction operations and timelines to make sure project deadlines are met
•Oversee the work of all general contractors and their laborers and guide as necessary to ensure high-quality work
•Acquire the appropriate licenses and permits from the corresponding authorities and ensure construction is up to code

Qualifications

•Minimum 5 year of work experience in construction management with multi-family or townhomes.
•Knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, blueprints, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles
•Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) is highly valued
•Four-year college degree in engineering, construction management, or other similar fields
•Finished training for OSHA 30 license
•Familiarity with construction project management software is highly valued
•Strong communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and time-management skills
