Nonprofit in the West Chicago suburbs is seeking an experienced and dynamic Development/Fundraiser to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving our fundraising efforts, developing and maintaining relationships with donors, and ensuring the sustainability and growth of our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet annual and long-term revenue goals.
- Donor Relations: Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, and other funding sources.
- Campaign Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives.
- Communications: Create compelling fundraising communications, including appeal letters, newsletters, social media content, and donor acknowledgments.
- Database Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's database, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the executive team, board members, and program staff to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals and priorities.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, Business). Advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in development or fundraising within the nonprofit sector.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising goals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in fundraising software and CRM systems.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
