Powder Coat Painter

Matrix Metalcraft is an innovative metal fabrication and manufacturing company serving the Defense, Energy, Automotive, and Outdoor Power Equipment Industries. Due to growth and expansion, Matrix has an open position for an experienced Powder Coat Painter for 1st Shift (M-Th 7:00 to 5:30 pm).

Job duties and Responsibilities:

• Powder Coat Metal Parts and assemblies according to requirements
• Operate all paint system equipment including wash bay, paint booth, oven and spray guns.
• Adjust paint booth equipment for different powder applications insuring proper paint application and coating thickness after curing
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and orderly paint booth area
• Work with other paint dept. members to maximize productivity and ensuring continuous product flow
• Assist with preparing parts for painting-loading, washing and unloading parts from paint line

• Use of respirator and other PPE equipment per MIOSHA requirements
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must have strong attention to detail and quality
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good attendance is a must
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• 1 year minimum powder coat painting experience preferred
