**Job Title:** Clinical Nurse I, II, III, IV **Job Specialty:** Progressive Care Unit (PCU) **Job Duration:** 13 weeks **Shift:** 07:00-19:00 **Guaranteed Hours:** (Information not provided) **Experience:** Minimum of 1 year **License:** Current RN license or current Compact state license **Certifications:** BLS Certification required or within 2 weeks of hire; all other required certifications must be obtained within 6 months of hire **Must-Have:** Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing **Job Description:** - Coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. - Ensures that quality care is provided efficiently and safely, consistent with the unit's standards of care. - Demonstrates performance in line with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the unit and organization. - Shows quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice. - Treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect. - Current knowledge and skills relevant to the age/type of patient population served. - Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in the delivery of care. - Communicates clearly and concisely, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient. - Responsible to the Patient Care Director or Manager. - Works in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated smoke-free environment. - Must be able to handle emergency/crisis situations with extensive standing and walking. - Requires physical effort to position, push, and/or transfer patients, equipment, and supplies. - Involves reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching. - Requires the ability to judge distance and space relationships, see peripherally, distinguish and identify different colors. - Hearing and visual acuity should be within normal or correctable limits. - Manual dexterity and fine motor coordination are required.
