Summary:
-The Category Specialist position will be responsible for category management and contracting activities supporting the Global Professional Services Category team
-Accountable for the successful execution of category plans, sourcing, negotiations, supplier management, local market intelligence and contracting processes
-The Category Specialist will identify and develop relationships with business unit stakeholders and suppliers to meet business unit objectives

Responsibilities:
-Applied knowledge of Supply Chain Management particularly in Category Management
-Strong understanding of the recruiting, labor, staffing industry, contingent labor, workforce planning, and professional services
-Ability to plan, negotiate, and manage contracts as well as follow contracting processes
-High potential to develop strong business and commercial acumen
-Ability to facilitate a cross-functional team in problem definition, solution development, and execution
-Ability to work on a team, build consensus, and resolve issues
-Proactive, engaged, and professional communicator who can establish good stakeholder relationships
-Can accountably set and deliver against deadlines
-Practice in procurement systems including GEP Smart, Ariba, procurement modules such as eSourcing, Contracts, and procurement operations.
-Demonstrated ability to conduct various types of assessments and analyses to fully understand unfamiliar markets and recommend strategies
-Ability to develop a sound business case based on analyses

Required Qualifications:
-5-7 years finance related experience required
-Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills and interpersonal skills
-Gleans new ideas, processes, and tools from external sources for continuous improvement to projects
-Brings innovation and positive business change from suppliers
-Expert ability to analyze financial reports, price proposals and other technical data
-Expert ability to accurately document and record customer/client information
-Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
-Expert knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to labor
-Expert knowledge of supply chain management.
-Previous experience with the Microsoft Office Suite

Education:
-Bachelor's degree in finance or a related business field required

Preferred Qualifications:
-Supply Chain Management certificate or similar
-CPSM/CPPM/CPP - Certified Professional Supply Management
-Certified Professional Purchasing Management
