Our client isseeking a talented and experienced
Digital Asset Manager
to join their dynamic team. Youwill play a crucial role in organizing, categorizing and optimizing digital media assets to enhance the overall efficiency of communications and educational initiatives.
This is a contract position to start and hybrid in the city of Chicago.
Digital Asset Manager Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive digital asset management system to organize and catalog various digital media files, including images, videos, documents and other multimedia content
Ensure consistent naming conventions, metadata tagging and folder structures for easy retrieval and usage
Work closely with content creators, designers and other stakeholders to understand the specific requirements and metadata associated with each digital asset
Collaborate with different departments to gather and assess their digital asset needs
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and relevance of digital assets
Regularly review and update metadata to reflect changes in assets or organizational needs
Monitor and manage usage rights and licensing agreements for digital assets, ensuring compliance with copyright laws and regulations
Provide guidance to internal teams on proper usage and permissions
Conduct training sessions for staff members on how to effectively use the digital asset management system
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for users encountering issues with accessing or utilizing digital assets
Continuously evaluate and update the digital asset management system to incorporate industry best practices and technological advancements
Identify opportunities for system improvements and enhancements to streamline workflows
Bachelor’s degree in library sciences, information management or related field
Proven experience in digital asset management, preferably in an educational or large organization setting
Strong understanding of metadata standards and best practices
Familiarity with digital asset management software and systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
