Landlab USA, Inc. is an innovative land development firm seeking a results-driven, confident, and resourceful Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of our various divisions. Duties will include overseeing the treasury function by monitoring expenditures, forecasting revenue, evaluating and managing risk, monitoring the accounting ledgers, publishing financial statements and analyzing financial data. Duties will also include coordinating the auditing processes, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information. The CFO will report to the senior management team as well as any relevant boards.
The position will be located in St Petersburg, FL, but financial oversight will be performed remotely to support the Landlab group of companies in Canada and other US locations as required.
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, a flair for numbers, be highly organized, and have strong leadership skills. The CFO should streamline our accounting functions and operations, provide financial analysis and reports, formulate sound financial strategies, implement proper internal controls, achieve organizational targets, and develop financial plans that support organizational strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain the accounting system and general ledgers for all projects and companies;
Oversee the treasury function, including bank reconciliations, cash flow management, and seeking financing when required;
Regular budget consolidations and preparation of forecasting reports;
Prepare quarter-end, and year-end financial reports for management and external users;
Manage timely payments for AP, collection of AR, and payroll processing;
Prepare all monthly or quarterly sales tax filings and meet other government reporting/filing requirements;
Work closely with management and/or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings;
Prepare for and manage financial statement audits, and coordination with external auditors;
Monitor business performance metrics
Requirements:
Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or Equivalent, CPA;
Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in accounting;
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks Online
Team player;
Must be very organized & able to handle several projects at once;
Detailed oriented;
Strong written and verbal skills;
Excellent analytical & problem solving skills;
Strong interpersonal skills;
Adaptable, rigorous, autonomous, resourceful, and proactive.
