Working under the direction and supervision of the RN, provides care authorized by the OSBN for the CNA1. Assists patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) while maintaining patient safety.SKILLS AND ABILITIESMaintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job locationAbility to recognize and report abnormal occurrencesAble to appropriately use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Knows the fire plan and escape routes for patient and selfDemonstrates competence by ongoing completion of any or all of the following:Proficiency testingSkill demonstrationPractice of core standards for service excellenceProvides patient care and performs tasks using job skills, growth, and development knowledgeEffective communication skills both verbally and writtenEDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREESAmerican Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant 1 in the State of OregonHigh School Diploma or Equivalent preferredEXPERIENCEGENERAL INFORMATIONUnion Affiliation: UFCWThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
