Qualifications:
10 Smythe is a Acute Care/Telemetry 24 bed unit that provides care and services to patients who are admitted for a variety of reasons. The primary focus is Pulmonary, Renal, Urology, and Neurology. 10 Smythe is the designated stroke unit, as well as the unit that manages patients on peritoneal dialysis. Support roles have been incorporated including patient liaison and mobility technician to assist alongside our RN, LPN, PCNA, and Administrative Assistants.

New Grad RNs who accept a position with Parma 8 are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus and the Loan Repayment program offering up to $15,000. Please ask your recruiter for details

Education Qualifications
  • Other Accredited Program Diploma in Nursing Required or
  • (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing Required
  • (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred
  • (MSN) Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred
Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
  • Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)
Licenses and Certifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio Upon Hire Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required During Orientation
  • Advanced Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support may be required based on clinical area standards.
