Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Serves customers as part of a team by anticipating their needs, and initiating conversation.
  • Checks identification to ensure customers meet minimum age requirements for consuming alcoholic beverages.
  • Serves customers alcohol according to the guidelines of safe serving.
  • Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons of bar, following standard recipes.
  • Mixes ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
  • Serves wine and draught or bottled beer.
  • Enters orders accurately, collects money and returns change for drinks/food served.
  • Reports tips accurately for each shift.
  • Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display.
  • Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
  • Maintains a neat and clean bar area on a continual basis.
  • Possess awareness for potential hazards, which could cause, but are not limited to, slipping, tripping falling or burns.
  • Arrives for each shift on time and in full uniform.
  • Attends all pre-shift meetings ready to "listen and learn" and share ideas.
  • Avoids leaving work area during peak periods.
  • Takes breaks only when approved by the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Restaurant Manager.
  • Keeps a clean and professional appearance at all times.
  • Tends the service bar and may be designated to the Service Bartender on occasion.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have at least six months related experience.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
  • Gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of beverage order processing systems.
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to see, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; stand and walk.
  • Must occasionally lift and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequently required to stoop, crouch or kneel.
  • Ability to interact with others while maintaining a courteous and positive demeanor.
  • Exposure to high noise level.
