The primary job focus of a ***SQL Server Administrator*** will be to manage the performance of SQL databases for internal and external web applications (i.e. AITs customer portal, etc.). The ***SQL Server Administrator*** will use their experience to enhance and manage SQL Servers maintenance plans to ensure proper performance. In addition, they will be responsible for creating and maintaining existing SSIS packages to allow for more robust data flow between AITs Transportation Management Systems and troubleshoot and optimize databases for best performance. The position is part of a fast-paced Data Exchange and Administration Team that handles majority of AITs data. * Support Data Automation solutions using ETL tools, such as SAP Data Services Suite and Microsoft SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
* Leverage Microsoft SQL Server to build queries and stored procedures, analyze and identify problems with data, and improve associated performance.
* Employ multiple replication platforms to limit data loss and load balance data consumption across multiple servers.
* Analyze performance of servers to keep business moving at a world class level.
* Disk space checks
* Table creation and maintenance
* Index creation and tuning
* Performance tuning and Query optimization
* General server health checks
* Troubleshoot SQL Job failures
