APIC Consulting Services is spearheading a vital initiative to enhance booster acceptance rates and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) practices through vaccine hesitancy and ICAR assessments at skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) across Louisiana.
Role Overview:
We are seeking passionate and qualified individuals to join our team as Infection Prevention (IP) Consultants. As an IP Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in conducting vaccine hesitancy assessments, ICAR assessments, and providing crucial support to SNFs in overcoming barriers to booster acceptance.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize the Client vaccine hesitancy assessment tool to identify and assess vaccination barriers among eligible SNF employees and residents.
Engage with SNF employees, administration, and residents as a vaccination educator and resource, leveraging your expertise in infection prevention and control (IPC).
Conduct onsite assessments, including interviews and facility tours, to gather comprehensive data on vaccine barriers, IPC practices, and opportunities for improvement.
Review SNF vaccine/booster data, policies, and educational resources to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and best practices.
Deliver real-time vaccine education sessions to SNF stakeholders during onsite visits.
Provide administrative and reporting support, including the development and delivery of summary reports within 72 hours of each visit.

Certification as a Certified Infection Control (CIC) practitioner and/or Long-Term Care Certified Infection Preventionist (LTC-CIP).
10 years of experience in IPC within healthcare settings, particularly long-term care facilities, is highly preferred.
Must live in or near Louisiana.
Part-time availability with a commitment of 8 hours per assessment (4 hours onsite, 4 hours administrative).
Ability to conduct assessments on weekdays.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
