Position Summary Intermountain Foundation seeks an experienced, enthusiastic and articulate senior development officer focused on South Utah County. This position will oversee Primary Children’s Hospital Miller Family campus in Lehi, and adult hospitals: Utah Valley Hospital, American Fork Hospital, Spanish Fork Hospital, and four rural hospitals. The Director of Philanthropy reports to the Executive Director of Philanthropy of Primary Children’s and children’s health. In addition to managing a portfolio of high-wealth prospective donors, the Director of Philanthropy will partner with the Executive Director of Philanthropy in the planning and development of major gift programmatic direction and goals. Responsibilities: Develop and implement major, planned and blended gift strategies to achieve annual philanthropy revenue targets. Collaborate with local hospital administrators, leaders, physicians, board members, and staff to achieve high-level donor-prospect engagement. Manage a personal portfolio of major-gift prospects to achieve annual performance and financial targets. Develop and manage a comprehensive fundraising program with emphasis on major and planned gift support. Regularly participate in Major Gift Team meetings and provide development strategies to other teammates. Oversee the implementation and management of special funding initiatives at local hospitals. Collaborate with Intermountain’s Governance Office to achieve optimal engagement and management of the local Philanthropy Board. Actively engage in the community and serve as a public speaker on behalf of Intermountain Healthcare. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in non-profit management, philanthropy studies, public administration, public relations, communications, marketing, English, business, or related degree. Six years of experience as an accomplished fundraising professional. Experience successfully leading teams or projects. Effective interpersonal skills, including relationship building and communication. Demonstrated success in organizing and utilizing volunteer leadership. Strong project planning and management skills. Advanced writing and public speaking skills. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Business or related field. Certification as CFRE and/or FAHP.
