FastMD, a leading spine and orthopedic practice, is seeking an experienced IT Director to oversee and enhance our technological infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong technical background capable of driving innovation and efficiency within our organization.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Drive IT strategy aligned with business objectives. Identify tech solutions to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and overall performance.
Infrastructure Oversight: Manage all IT systems, networks, hardware, and software to ensure security, reliability, and scalability for seamless business support.
Leadership: Guide and nurture the IT team, fostering their growth and ensuring optimal performance.
Vendor Relations: Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and service-level agreements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Security and Compliance: Implement stringent security measures to safeguard patient data and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
Technology Innovation: Research, assess, and propose new technologies to enhance productivity. Lead the implementation of approved systems.
Budget Management: Monitor and allocate resources efficiently to support strategic IT initiatives while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Technical Support: Offer guidance for technical issues, ensuring swift resolution to minimize operational disruptions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Proven leadership experience in IT, preferably within healthcare.
Proficiency in healthcare IT systems, EMR/EHR, and medical practice management software.
Expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud technologies.
Track record of leading and fostering a collaborative, innovative team environment.
Strategic problem-solving abilities and a forward-thinking mindset.
FastMD requires this role to be filled by a local candidate due to the nature of the position and the organization's size. Healthcare experience combined with security, change management, or new initiatives development is essential. Relocation for out-of-state applicants is unlikely.
