Marketing Maintain an updated Strategic Marketing Plan, developed in collaboration with Senior Management and approved by the Board of Directors. Collaborate with third party marketing firm (as needed) with the development of advertising strategies and campaigns to acquire, retain, and expand relationships with customers and identified target segments of the market and/or prospective customers.Consult and help develop bank marketing, advertising, and marketing operational plans. Coordinate advertising calendar that aligns the bank's strategic visions and priorities.Work closely with Senior Management to map digital capabilities to strategic priorities.Implement a communications strategy across multiple channels, including content creation, posting, and engaging in dialogues on social media.Responsible for all advertising/marketing avenues including but not limited to traditional and digital efforts (i.e.: television, radio, print, social media, website, lobby displays, brochures, direct mail, marquee, ATM's, etc.) Execute targeted marketing campaigns, including development and coordination of direct mail, advertising (traditional and digital), branch signage, and website content. Responsible for tracking and reporting of results.Coordinate the purchase of promotional items with outside vendors and maintain an inventory for various yearly events/activities.Work closely with officers of ASBT to help promote content, promotional items, available programs, and events.Responsible to ensure all forms of advertising meet compliance requirements and keeps records thereof for bank audits and exams as required.Develop marketing budget recommendations in conjunction with the annual Bank budget process. Approve all marketing invoices and assign to appropriate expense account. Verify accuracy of bills and resolve errors or discrepancies. Measure and monitor budget and expenditures in the areas of advertising, sales, and public relations.Research and evaluate all annual contracts with the media. Provide recommendations to the Executive Committee for final approval.Draft, edit or write advertising copy for use in promotions and special events. This includes television, radio, print, lobby posters, brochures, direct mail, marquee, website, ATM's, etc.Draft, edit or write news/press statements and releases.Maintain content of the Bank's Website to ensure updated, accurate, in coordination with the various departments of the bank.Coordinate development and posting of information to the Bank's intranet regarding the products, marketing efforts, staff newsletter, etc. Assist in preparing market and demographic analysis, including competitive prices and terms, customer banking trends and population trends.Review products and services offered by the competition and submit suggestions and changes.Coordinate special events, such as new product launches, special promotions, significant company anniversary and other events.Support and participate in area business development functions by providing booths, information, etc. Sales & Service Implement effective sales and product training, incentive, and recognition programs.Assist in development of customer service operation plans.Assist with activities to motivate staff and help build a positive sales culture within the bank.Assist with the bank's Business Development Program. Contribute to the bank's sales efforts by promoting products and services and making referrals. Public Relations Enhance bank awareness through volunteer and community functions.In coordination with the Admin Department, send flowers, cards, and/or memorials for all appropriate occasions.Receive, assess, and process all donation requests for funding, tickets, etc. Review, as appropriate, with President & CEO for approval.Organize and implement customer events, such as group bus tours to Medora or the Hostfest, etc.Coordinate in-house special events and open houses.Support and participate in community fundraisers and/or events. Bank & Staff Relations Participate in bank meetings and training programs.Positive interaction with other employees to promote communication and teamwork.Share information, knowledge and expertise and volunteer to assist others.Assist the Human Resources Officer as needed involving other employee programs and events.Complete all initial and annual training requirements as outlined by ASBT.Perform all other duties as required, consistent with the goals, objectives, and responsibilities of the Marketing function.QUALIFICATIONS:A bachelor's degree in marketing or related field, or appropriate work experience is required.The preferred candidate will have good knowledge of the financial industry as well as working knowledge of the financial community environment.Excellent oral and written communication skills. Will have extensive contact with customers and the public. Need good networking skills and be able to speak effectively to individual and group situations. Must conduct relationships in a manner that will enhance the overall marketing effort of the bank.Employee should be creative and resourceful and have a thorough understanding of social media and website analytics. View change or problems as opportunities and chances to develop new and better way to do things. Be able to generate and/or recognize imaginative solutions, fresh ideas, and innovative approaches in designing advertising and events.Employee must be attentive to details. Employee must be able to edit own work to ensure proper communication with customers and to stay in compliance with banking regulations.Employee must be highly self-motivated and be able to work independently.Employee must have good sales and decision-making skills.Dedication to community development with ability to commit time to community projects.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Confidentiality and tactfulness in dealing with bank and customer information is mandatory.Ability to conduct relationships with co-workers, customers, the community and the overall public in a manner which will enhance the bank's image and comprehensive marketing effort.Will be called upon from time to time to participate with community organizations and projects.Most functions of this position require the employee to be mobile. Outside public contacts necessary for both marketing and public relations functions will require employee to have a driver's license. Job may require some evening and weekend commitments. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher is important for this position as well as knowledge of other banking equipment such a printer, copy machine, fax, etc.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
