Job Details:

The Speech Language Pathologist provides treatment of children and adults for our multiservice pediatric and adult outpatient area with need to cover inpatient as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates clients/patients and determines causal factors for speech, language and/or hearing impairments; gathers data related to patient's communication disorder, selects appropriate evaluation tool(s) for the purpose of assessment.
  • Administers diagnostic testing procedures to determine the extent of the patient's impairment and the prognosis for improvement.
  • Develops individualized treatment programs for patients diagnosed as needing speech and language intervention.
  • Areas addressed include articulation, voice, fluency, receptive and expressive language skills, oral motor competence, dysphagia and auditory skills.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech and Language from American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. (CCC)
  • New York State license and registration in Speech-Language Pathology required.
  • MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) experience is strongly preferred but not required, will train
  • Previous experience with adult neurologic population is preferred.
  • Hours require evening coverage.
  • TSSLD certification is required within first year of employment.


Posted Salary Range:
USD $67.39 - USD $67.39 /Hr.
