Job Description:

We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) on a PART-TIME basis for a partner school that provides education for Middle School and Elementary School students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. We are seeking a hardworking individual to join our speech therapy team for the 2024-2025 school year. The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for developing treatment plans, completing evaluations, and collaborating with parents and other key stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities will include;

+ Provide year-round services for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, including direct, small group sessions, and push in utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance communication skills

+ Compile and develop treatment plans to support students

+ Develop and implement IEPs for students with ASD, incorporating specific, measurable goals tailored to each student

+ Regularly monitor and document students progress towards IEP goals and adjust therapy plans as necessary

+ Provide training on functional life skills for students approaching graduation

+ Implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and strategies, including communication boards, speech-generating devices, and sign language, as appropriate

+ Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and school district regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).

+ Work closely with BCBAs and other professional such as Occupational Therapists, Special Education Teachers, and more

Speech Language Pathologist Requirements:

+ School-based and/or pediatric experience working with K-12th Graders

+ Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

+ Valid PA SLP license from the Pennsylvania Board of Speech-Language Pathologists

+ Valid PA Education Specialist Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education
