Title: Kitchen Lead
Location: Torrance, CA
Pay: $17.75-$18.50/HR
Schedule: 4:00 PM-12:30 AM Monday-Friday (Occasionally be available to work on weekends)

Job Summary: The position is responsible for ensuring productivity adherence and monitors kitchen staff to ensure that quality, productivity, and safety standards are maintained
Kitchen Leads oversees and delegates kitchen staff to ensure they are utilizing machines to perform ingredient cutting, chopping, dicing, and weighing
based on recipe specifications
Assist the supervision of staff operations as necessary to promote and maintain a clean and food safe environment.
Essential Functions:
-Assembly and disassembly of machinery used to dice ingredients.
-Follow procedures in the cutting and setting up of ingredients.
-Operates machinery, equipment, and tools safely and proficiently according to standards, guidelines, and instructions.
-Will perform cleaning of the machines during changeovers.
-Must be able to read and understand product weights, scales, and thermometers.
-Must be able to read and understand product specifications established.
-Performs clean-up activities as assigned.
-Maintains the inventory of ingredients processed and reports any inconsistencies to the Production Supervisor.
-May be assigned other duties by the Production Supervisor as required.
Food Safety Responsibilities
-All employees are required to immediately report and assist in the elimination or control of any food safety issues they observe to their supervisor
-Monitors and enforces cGMPs
-Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Pre-requisite programs
Qualifications/Physical Requirements
-Able to work in cold environment (30-40 degrees)
-Ability to understand written and oral direction in English and/or Spanish.
-Occasionally carry and/or lift 50 Lbs.
-Ability to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend and climb.
