Medical Surgical Cna We are seeking a Medical Surgical CNA, also referred to as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Med-Surg CNA. A Med Surg CNA will assist with patient care by supporting daily activities, mobility, feeding, and vital signs while monitoring for any changes. Additionally, the Med Surg CNA will help nurses by maintaining supplies, assisting with wound care, and ensuring a clean, safe environment. Shifts Available: Nights Employment Type: Full Time Location: Mission Regional Medical Center Mission, TX Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Health, dental, and vision insurance options Paid vacation, sick time and holidays Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options Employer 401K options Tuition reimbursement options Life, disability, and other insurance options Many other amazing benefits Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, and toileting Help with mobility, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients to prevent skin breakdown, you may also feed patients who need assistance and monitor intake/output Take and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration), observe and report changes in a patient's condition to nurses, you may also help with wound care under the direction of an RN Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms, ensure the environment stays clean and safe Assist in transporting patients within the hospital Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required. Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current. Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology. Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: Minimum six months' previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred. Facility Specific Requirements (facility may require items listed below): Current Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current per facility requirement.
