The Welder/ Fabricator is responsible for welding on all types of steels and castings. The Welder/Fabricator is also responsible for fabricating tools, jigs and fixtures for the production areas. Your Responsibilities Fabrication of tools, jigs and fixtures Must be able to work from blueprints or sketches Must be able to design and make tools, fixtures and fittings. Has working knowledge of preheating steel or casting and welding rods. To make up all types of elements as required. Maintain all welding equipment. Operates a variety of small machines, tools, and equipment. To flame harden and flame cut as required. Promotes good housekeeping (5S) TPM Perform other duties as required. Operate a forklift and overhead crane.Who we are looking forEDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year Associates Degree from accredited technical college is preferred, or equivalent experience One to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.TECHNICAL TRAINING: Mig/ Tig / Arc WeldingWORK EXPERIENCEWHAT TYPES? Strong technical background; previous experience with welding/fabricatingHOW MUCH?
