Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for roadway projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Prepare and review quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns.
  • Prepare bid proposals and support documents, including scope of work and pricing.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project requirements and objectives.
  • Participate in bid reviews and negotiations as required.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms to secure the best value for the project.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, bid proposals, and supporting documentation.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management review and decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in civil estimating with a focus on roadway construction.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., HCSS, MS Excel, Agtek). Strong understanding of roadway construction methods, materials, and cost factors.
