Job Description
As a Senior Customer Quality Engineer at Hesai, your primary responsibility is to ensure that we exceed our customers' expectations for quality, delivery, and service. You'll provide expert technical and operational guidance to our launch and manufacturing teams, driving the corrective action process for quality issues. Your role involves meticulously verifying root cause analyses and overseeing the implementation of permanent corrective actions that comprehensively address various types of root causes, including escape, occurrence, and systemic issues. By collaborating closely with launch and manufacturing teams, you'll facilitate the integration of valuable lessons learned into Hesai's quality process for forthcoming products in development. Furthermore, you'll manage the APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) procedures, integral to Hesai's quality standards. This pivotal role encompasses monitoring product launch progress throughout the product lifecycle and executing routine audits of Hesai's production lines, with a specific focus on supporting Automotive OEM and AV integration customers.
What You'll Do
* Provide hands-on support to problem-resolution teams, leveraging industry-standard problem-solving methodologies.
* Play an instrumental role in new product development by diligently completing Hesai Milestone tasks.
* Attend preproduction builds to identify and swiftly resolve quality issues.
* Collaborate with problem resolution teams, offering valuable customer insights, and effectively communicating with customers when quality issues emerge.
* Clarify customer expectations and act as a liaison between the customer perspective and the relevant Hesai teams (lab/production / design).
* Convey customer feedback to the organization, ensuring a continuous feedback loop.
* Support risk management during product development, utilizing risk identification techniques and Hesai's Milestone process.
* Prepare and submit the required OEM quality documentation for new product launches and post-launch changes.
* Assist in the development and maintenance of FMEAs (Failure Modes and Effects Analyses) and control documentation to systematically manage risk and fulfill customer expectations.

Requirements
What to Bring
* In-depth knowledge of OEM quality processes and documentation.
* Proven track record with at least 5+ years of experience in plant quality activities, program coordination, or similar roles within the manufacturing sector.
* Proficiency in driving problem-solving activities related to both internal and customer complaints.
* Ability to report internal and external quality metrics to management.
* Strong background (5+ years) in root cause analysis, AIAG (Automotive Industry Action Group) standards, ISO (International Organization for Standardization), APQP, PFMEA (Process Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), DFMEA (Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis), Process Flow, Control Plans, 4M, 8D (Eight Disciplines), and in-depth knowledge of automotive quality standards such as ISO/TS 16949 and IATF 16949.
* Comprehensive understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
* Hands-on experience with PPAP, APQP, non-conformity management, etc.
* A technical degree (preferred four-year degree), or currently pursuing a relevant degree.
* Ideally, 8+ years of experience in the automotive industry.
* Proficiency in PC skills, a must-have for effective documentation and communication.
* Strong aptitude for problem resolution, utilizing industry-standard problem-solving tools.
