Description: Manage and evaluate program directors and coordinators. Protect and maintain the 501(c)3 status of the organization. Build partnerships with community, county, and state organizations. Attend and participate in meetings of municipal councils and committees. Deliver speeches and present information at meetings or conventions in order to promote services, exchange ideas, and accomplish objectives. In cooperation with the Board of Directors, develop fundraising strategies and oversee all aspects of fundraising programs including but not limited to the creation of goals. Coordinate the development and implementation of budgetary control systems, record-keeping systems, and other administrative control processes. Synchronize the organizations financial and budgetary activities in order to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency. Negotiate or approve contracts and agreements with suppliers, distributors, federal and state agencies, and other organizational entities. Oversee and participate in recruitment, orientation, and continuity of board members. Prepare and present reports concerning activities, expenses, budgets, and other items affecting business or program services to the Board. Actively participate in Board meetings. Confer with board members to discuss issues, coordinate activities, and resolve problems. Participate actively in the strategic planning process to establish short and long-range goals to meet the organizations objectives. Review and approve all policies and procedures required for licensures and maintenance of the organization. Serve as Educational/Instructional Administrator. Evaluate and manage direct reports with oversight responsibility for all staff within the Day School Program. Develop and coordinate training activities for staff with the support of Coordinators. Requirements: Masters Degree in Special Education or related discipline with a valid Virginia five-year renewable post-graduate professional license, with endorsement in Administration and Supervision. Minimum of 7 years related experience with 3 years experience in a management or administrative position for a non-profit organization. Regularly required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Exposure to physical risk including but not limited to biting, hair pulling, kicking, and spitting. Must undergo criminal background checks and child protective service registry check. Must also obtain TB screening upon employment. Will participate in training required by regulatory authorities.
