Chief Finance Officer

Our client is a well respected food manufacturer in Wisconsin looking for a talented and experience professional to fill the #2 spot in the organization.

Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will focus on the long-term strategic vision of the company which includes fostering and cultivating stakeholder relationships across various levels as well as assisting in the development and negotiation of contracts.

The CFO is responsible for the company's financial well-being and risk management, aligning financial and operational strategies with company goals, and maintaining control systems for accurate financial reporting and asset preservation. They collaborate with executive and management teams, foster stakeholder relationships, and assist in contract negotiations. Key duties include financial health analysis, liquidity assurance, risk mitigation, operational and strategic planning, and reporting to the Board and shareholders. The CFO oversees accounting, finance, safety, benefits, compensation, and manages external relationships and compliance. They also maintain internal controls to protect assets.

Ideal Candidate Experience

• 10+ years of progressive Finance experience, 5+ years in a leadership role
• Early experience as a Plant Accountant in a manufacturing environment, preferred
• Advanced Leadership in team building, focused on continuous improvement, adaptable, agile, great problem solver, a great leader of people
• In-depth understanding of general financial accounting and reporting practices.
• Comprehensive knowledge of information systems security protocols.
• Proven skills in effective communication, partnership, and internal relationship management across various organizational tiers.
• A track record of self-initiation, proactive problem-solving, and collaboration on financial projects with intersecting scopes.
• Holding an advanced degree in Accounting or Finance, or professional certifications such as CPA or CMA.
