The main function of this role is to deliver our world-class, technical product training directly to our customers who maintain and are responsible for over 70,000 Ariel compressors placed throughout the world. This position is ideal for a candidate who enjoys being hands-on with equipment and takes pride in teaching others how to diagnose, repair, and properly maintain heavy equipment. You will utilize adult-learning principles to clearly communicate mechanical concepts in an easily understood manner, and ensure the learner leaves Ariel satisfied with the learning they received. This style of teaching is classroom-based, where designs, processes, and concepts are taught, and then transferred into our world-class indoor labs where learners get to be hands-on with the equipment. As the trainer, you will also be assisting the learner, hands-on, in applying the classroom-based training directly to our product. As design changes evolve and new products and parts become available, the role will also be involved in designing new training and learning curriculums to be applied in our classes. Applying strong mechanical aptitude, adapting quickly to different learning styles, and embracing a continuous learning mindset are all critical to the daily success of this role. Ariel’s customer training is primarily based in Mount Vernon, Ohio. We also provide on-site training at customer training facilities, or via our Mobile Training Lab (MTL). As such, periodic domestic travel is required. As this role covers a broad scope of mechanical and engineering concepts, comprehensive onboarding training is provided to ensure full readiness in the role.
