That's why we work hard to ensure our employees - no matter their race, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, pregnancy, caste, disability, union membership, ethnicity, religious beliefs or the stage of their careers - can see the difference their work makes for our customers and their consumers around the globe.Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Lead Weld Engineer, this position will support laser welding, GMAW and project welding processes in the Plant.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcess monitoring and data recordingFixture adjustments required to meet product dimensional targets.Weld program changes as required to maintain acceptable level up of weld performanceInteract with other engineering support and maintenance to react to unscheduled equipment issues (i.e., breakdowns) and perform necessary diagnostics and repairs.Reaction to discovery from C.C.T. lab results and quality department audits of process capability deviations.Support of non-automated repair processes (i.e., off-line weld repair processes)Project/Development work as assignedPM completion as assigned.Complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. BSWE/WET will be considered if experience level is less. AccountabilitiesThis position reports directly to the Engineering Manager and is part of the Engineering Department.QualificationsExperience in a High Volume Automotive Manufacturing environment is a must.Equipment troubleshooting, weld fixture adjustments and weld programming are daily activities. Must be able to use simple hand tools effectively.Need basic understanding of 2D dimensional product prints. Basic understanding of GD&T is preferredBasic computer skillsThe ability to be able to distinguish between a good a bad weld visuallyCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust be able to meet the requirements of being able to work in the United States (INS Form I-9).EHS RequirementsAdhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental StandardsReport occupational injuries, illnesses and accidentsReport hazardous, unsafe and unhealthy conditionsPRIMARY LOCATIONBattle Creek Seating Component
