POSITION OBJECTIVETrouble-shoot low voltage systems with wiring schematics, computer software, and diagnostic equipment. Perform all duties related to schematics and Low Voltage Electrical and Electronics and other electrical duties. Follow all standard or accepted methods and procedures within company safety guidelines.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Trouble-shoot low voltage systems utilizing wiring schematics, computer software, and diagnostic equipment. Trouble-shoot electrical to electronic interfaces Running conduit, pull wire, and make electrical connections in a professional manner using wiring diagrams and/or electrical schematics Assembly duties as required Detect and report defective materials, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to immediate Supervisor Follow prescribed safety regulations / guidelines Work with Engineering and Vendors on new wiring requirements for Prototype units and systems Work independently on wiring and programming engines and power pack systems ECM programming Be able to work with Programmable Motion Control cards (PCM cards) Perform other duties as required or directedOccasional Job Duties Complete appropriate paperwork for rejected parts Return leftover parts back to Warehouse Chase parts and fill in necessary paperwork Train new hires Document and diagram wiring when needed (example: Prototype units)PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS Required to read, write and comprehend English Use and comprehend specifications, electrical schematics Knowledge of all electrical components and their ideal operation Extensive knowledge of troubleshooting principles and application Troubleshooting EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE HS Diploma or GED requiredThe training period for this position: 12 to 18 MonthsPrior Positions/Training: Two years minimum in low-voltage electrician role Must have training in reading electrical schematicsREQUIRED PHYSICAL EFFORT Moderate physical demand in handling and connecting some wires. May be required to lift up to 30 lbs.
