Essential Job Specific Duties/Responsibilities

Plans and executes the direct referral marketing and communications on and off campus.

  • Maintains a working knowledge of all marketing positions and serves as a backup when needed, including touring and inquiring selling in all areas of care.
  • Ensures responses to all inquiries are documented and responded to in a 30 minute time frame. Completes patient visits to existing hospitalized residents as well as new referrals
  • Assist with developing quarterly marketing/communications plan for the assigned facilities and provides a monthly status report to the Executive Director.
  • Ensures completion and submission of monthly tracking report to the Executive Director.

Facilitates and assures the delivery of discharge reports and communication.

  • Produces and delivers all discharge summary reports to primary care physicians.
  • Maintains accurate inquiry logs, tracking inquiries, and master contact list for all possible referral organizations.
  • Attends all designed meetings, collaborates with leadership, and shares all insight gathered from community outreach.
  • Assists in coordinating all public relations functions.
  • Coordinates completion and participation in residents and family bi-annual satisfaction surveys.
  • Interacts directly with residents’ families and community regarding the facility’s services.
  • Represents the facility at various community activities such as health symposiums, senior events, and speaking engagements. Distributes collateral material and promotional items.
  • Serves as a liaison between the facility and the community. Responds to requests for community events and organizations.
  • Develops ongoing positive media relations with the community papers, new reporters, and other media outlets.
  • Plans, coordinates, and implements a client/community interaction program that includes routine scheduled visits to physician offices and home- and community-based referral sources, both actual and potential.
  • Identifies needs of current and potential customers and referral sources, communicates services and programs, and provides educational opportunities.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field.

Experience: Four years marketing experience, senior housing, or Health Care experience preferred.
