Overview

The Reservationist is mainly responsible for answering phone calls, taking and confirming reservations. They manage floor plans and communicate guest inquiries in a gracious, efficient manner that is synonymous with Milos standards.

Primary roles and responsibilities
  • Handles incoming guest queries and reservation requests via email and multiple phone lines in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Follows up on all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations
  • Calls guests to confirm all daily bookings
  • Ensures guests are advised of policies and deposit requirements
  • Acquires credit card Information for itemized receipts and credit card disputes
  • Communicates and coordinates with FOH and BOH staff to discuss and relay any changes and special requests
  • Updates preferences and ensures accuracy of guest profiles, merges duplicate profiles as needed
  • Understands complete floor plan & service flow of the restaurant
  • Answers phone calls and provides information on reservations, availability, restaurant hours and services
  • Acts as a Milos brand ambassador; undertakes all duties and responsibilities while upholding core company values to ensure a memorable guest experience
Requirements
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in an upscale dining setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Able to multi-task, is receptive to feedback and direction
  • Knowledge of POS and reservation systems (an asset)
