Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for full life cycle recruitment of all professional/exempt positions, including: sourcing, relationships with recruitment sources, attendance at job fairs, prescreening, interviewing, scheduling, offers, pre-hire process coordination, HRIS system entry and file preparation including onboarding
  • Provides service excellence by utilizing organizational and HR knowledge to assist with developing solutions for managers and associates. Shares recommendations for process or procedure improvement across the HR function.
  • Support HR Manager in providing key analytics and reporting on various people metrics, i.e., time to hire, headcount, retention, organization chart updates, etc.
  • Responsible for resolving associate relations issues, working with supervisors/managers. Provides guidance, conducts investigations, recommends solutions, and analyzes trends.
  • Applies and interprets policies and procedures to basic and complex employment issues. Ensures compliance with State and Federal laws. May recommend changes to policies and procedures based on business trends.
  • Advises associates and supervisory personnel on the interpretation of personnel policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Fosters positive associate relations.
  • Responsible for RTS Driver Qualification (DQ) file maintenance and audits.
  • Assists with events (e.g., service award program/event, health fair, holiday activities, Associate Appreciation Day, holiday cards/gifts, United Way Campaign, food drives, etc.).
  • Maintains medical surveillance records and monitors for notification to EHS on specific issues.
  • In collaboration with the H.R. Manager, responsible for Drug-Free Workplace Program including, training, reporting, random testing, etc.
  • Will occasionally backup the H.R. Generalist at the Ross Incineration Services, Inc. (RIS) plant and Ross Transportation Services, Inc. (RTS) facilities.
  • Understands RES' ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) and assists with executing its objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years broad HR experience including associate relations, recruiting and retention, talent development, data analytics and relationship management.
  • Recent experience in all areas of sourcing talent including employment branding, internet, social media, networking and targeting passive job candidates.
  • Must be able to quickly gain trust and build relationships. Demonstrated success at influencing and coaching associates and business leaders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and oral/written communication skills are essential. Also important is the ability to juggle multiple and competing priorities
  • Strong emotional intelligence, problem solving, conflict resolution and teaming skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines in an ever changing fast-paced environment.
  • Thorough understanding of employment law at the federal, state and local levels and regulatory record keeping requirements.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience in UltiPro HRIS and with the payroll function is highly desired.
  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
