Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Job Description: Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU)Responsibilities:Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit (CSICU), including those recovering from complex cardiac surgeries such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve replacements, and heart transplants.Continuously monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, hemodynamic status, and overall condition, utilizing advanced monitoring equipment and technology.Administer and manage critical medications, including vasoactive drips, anticoagulants, and pain management therapies, ensuring precise dosage and patient safety.Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, anesthesiologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for post-surgical recovery and rehabilitation.Perform advanced nursing procedures, such as managing mechanical ventilation, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and other life-sustaining therapies.Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families, helping them understand the recovery process, potential complications, and the importance of follow-up care.Minimum Qualifications:Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required.Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a critical care or intensive care unit, with specific experience in cardiac or cardiovascular surgery preferred.BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required; CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) certification is preferred.Strong knowledge of cardiac surgery procedures, post-operative care, and critical care nursing practices.Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
