Learn more at www.experiencecolumbus.com **About the job:** In accordance with the Mission and Guiding Behaviors; the Physical Therapist Assistant performs patient treatment under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant communicates and collaborates with other caregivers toprovide quality care and maintains accurate patient records **What you'll do:** + (For patient care providers) Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®. + Performs patient treatment as delegated by a licensed physical therapist. + Documents patient progress and communicates with appropriate health care providers on matters concerning patient treatment, continuity of care, and discharge planning. + Records daily treatment on charge cards and enters charges into computer when necessary. + Coordinates the scheduling of assigned patients in cooperation with other departments as needed. + Oversees and evaluates affiliating students as assigned. + Reports any unusual circumstances or incidents to Clinical Coordinator or physical therapist. + Participates in performance improvement activities and contributes to development of new programs/protocols. + Shares duties of absent staff members. **What we're looking for:** + Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program + Licensure / Certification: Licensed in the state of Ohio to practice as a physical therapist assistant + Experience: One year preferred + Effective Communication Skills + Ability to make sound decisions and utilize good judgment + Holds valid driver's license (MCW Inpatient Rehab Unit only) -- _Mount Carmel and all its affiliates are proud to be equal opportunity employers._ _We do not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, religion, physical disability or any other classification protected under local, state or federal law._ **Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion** Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, Catholic healthcare systems in the nation.
