ASG Materials Manager Job Description
As an entry-level Materials Manager at ASG, you will work closely with other material managers and engineers not only in logistics but also in the supply chain and engineering domains, to ensure smooth operations and efficient material flow across projects.
In logistics, you’ll assist in coordinating material inventory and purchases, moving materials between docks, and arranging and tracking shipments from source facilities to the intended destinations. You'll also play a crucial role in maintaining inventory, as well as facilitating cross-functional collaboration within project teams and client departments.
In the supply chain space, you’ll contribute to drafting device specifications and participating in discussions on product risk management to set acceptance criteria. Your responsibilities will extend to ordering product components, ensuring material traceability, and assisting in device build planning and reporting. You will actively manage device history, ensuring pedigree and providence documentation are accurately maintained. You will also support product investigations, aiding in identifying and resolving issues to uphold product quality and compliance standards.

Job Requirements – Overall Qualifications
B.S in engineering or related field
1-3 years experience in supply chain management
Capable of multitasking in fast-paced environment
Ability to follow and adhere to ASG best practices and processes
Job Requirements – Logistics
Assist materials manager in planning and coordinating material inventory and purchasing departments
Responsible for assisting in moving materials between local docks
Responsible for assisting in the receiving of materials at the dedicated warehouse.
Responsible for assisting in the picking, packing, and arranging for shipment of kitted packages from the dedicated warehouse.
Responsible for assisting in maintaining inventory at the dedicated warehouse.
Responsible for assisting in updating inventory summaries.
Responsible for assisting in the participation of project team meetings and cross-functional coordination across team members in project settings
Responsible for facilitating cross-functional coordination across client departments
Job Requirements - Supply Chain
Assist in drafting device specifications
Participate in product risk management discussions to inform acceptance criteria
Assist in ordering product components and subassemblies
Ensure traceability to appropriate product data based on intended use
Assist with device build planning
Assist with build reporting and management of device history (pedigree and providence)
Assist in product investigations (e.g., build process deviations, component compatibility issues, etc).
