Summary:
Ensures the efficient and effective daily business and clinical operations of the Health Services Center. Collaborates with the lead Medical Provider in the development, coordination, and monitoring of the care coordination of the student and employee population of the CSU community. Ensures the provision of nursing care for patient population. Supervises the daily operations of the reception and discharge functions. Ensures the effective and efficient coordination of the patient scheduling system. Ensures the professional competence and performance of the clinical staff. Coordinates all medical, health promotion programs and clinical support activities, including personnel and budget management; program development; quality assurance, staff development and service delivery. Provides quality and fiscally sound operation per applicable federal and state health care guidelines and University policies. Participates in direct patient care and health education. Develops and maintains supportive working relationships with other campus entities and community health care agencies. Interacts professionally with all internal and external customers using strong interpersonal skill. Ensures efficient interdisciplinary team communication and interaction. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer services standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:Graduate of an approved nursing program and currently licensed to practice professional nursing in Ohio.Bachelors Degree in Nursing.Three years management or demonstrated leadership experience in a health care environment encompassing operational and clinical experience, fiscal operations and personnel management.Experience in ambulatory nursingProven leadership, clinical competence, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated evidence of continuing professional self-development.Strong quantitative skills, including knowledge of personal computers and information systemsAbility to interact effectively with various cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds
Preferred:Advanced Degree, such as MSN or MPH.Experience in Public or Community Health.
Physical Demands:May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day.May need to sit or stand for extended periods.See in the normal visual range with or without correction.Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.Finger dexterity to operate office equipment.May need to lift to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.Ability to communicate face-to-face, by phone, email, and other communications.Ability to see computer monitor and departmental documents.Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.Requires some exposure to chemicals.
