We are currently accepting applications for a Student Support Specialist I in the Career Services Department.

Job Duties:
•Operating and managing Handshake's online career development platform to connect students with employers, schedule appointments, and facilitate career-related events.
•Creating and editing professional documents, including resumes and cover letters, tailored to industry-specific language for various professional and technical programs.
•Assisting with the administration of the ACTC Career Services Facebook group, actively engaging students, and utilizing Canva to create compelling job postings and share student success stories on our Facebook page.
•Utilizing professional writing skills to extract, process, and present student information in a polished and effective manner. Familiarity with industry-specific terminology to tailor communications for diverse programs.
•Interacting with employers professionally, assisting with the organization of campus-wide career fairs, and contributing to the planning and execution of various career-related events.
•Efficiently recording and managing data related to student career development, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
•Presenting career development skills in classroom settings and one-on-one sessions with students/alumni.
•Collaborating with peers in a fast-paced office setting, adapting to a dynamic work environment, and maintaining a flexible schedule.
•Must be able and willing to travel between three ACTC campuses and work independently in an office space, contributing to a positive and supportive work atmosphere.
•Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
•The qualified applicant will have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of two years of related experience. Must has excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products and professional writing. Candidate must be willing to travel between the three ACTC campuses and work independently in an office space, contributing to a positive and supportive work atmosphere.
